If you are moving across the country, there is a good chance that you are feeling done with the entire process. You might have spent hours scoping out apartments, visiting them, contacting landlords, scrutinizing leases, and paying deposits. Now that this entire process is complete, all you have to do is pack up your entire life. This doesn't sound like a lot of fun, no matter how practiced you are at it. Luckily, there are some tools and other moving supplies that you can use to make the entire move a lot easier. You might not be familiar with these items.
1. Wardrobe Boxes
The bulk of your personal belongings might be your clothes. If you have a lot of clothing that is on hangers, you might feel despair at the sheer number of garment bags that you will need to buy and the amount of time that you are going to need to spend in order to wrestle all of your clothes into the bags. You might even feel like throwing in the towel and just throwing all of your clothes, hangers and all, into a box. There is a special box that you can buy from a moving supply company that is specifically designed for clothes that are on hangers. It opens at the top and part of one side. It has a bar across the top that is able to support a decent number of clothes. If you purchase one or two of these boxes, all you have to do is grab all of your hanging clothes and throw them into the box. It will greatly reduce the amount of time that you have to spend packing, as well as ensure that your clothes reach their final destination without being wrinkled.
2. Boxes With Wheels Built In
Another option is to rent plastic boxes that have wheels built into them. This will allow you to load up the boxes to their full capacity and simply roll them into the moving truck. This is good if you have collections of items that are going to end up being way too heavy for any one person to carry easily, such as books.
3. Boxes for Glasses
Finally, you can purchase boxes that are sectioned off that are specifically designed for wine glasses and other glasses. Rather than spending a ton of time wrapping each glass individually, all you need to do is place them into the sectioned boxes. This can save you a ton of time.
